Mornings are full of activity as we move supplies out of the adjacent storage facility, set up tents and put signage in the park area, barricade the vendor exit, and help situate tables and chairs and special activity areas — basically, helping in whatever way is needed to “open the market” and have it ready for our customers and that day’s planned activities.
You're center stage for everything at the market in terms of information, customer service, merchandise purchases, and board-member support. And you get to meet and chat with the market regulars and newcomers, too!
If you're people-oriented, detail-oriented, have the ability to handle monetary transactions, are a multi-tasker, and have a focused personality with a take-charge, pro-active mindset - this is the perfect spot for you!
Duties include: Selling and keeping inventory of fundraising items, and answering questions and accessing informational materials at the table.
Set your own hours between 7:30am and noon! After you’re confirmed for a particular Saturday slot, bring your camera and start snapping away! We need pictures of shoppers, volunteers, vendors, entertainment, activities, market goodies, produce — whatever you decide to point-and-shoot!
You will then email your CULLED, cream-of-the-crop photos via Drop Box, Zip file, FTP site — whatever method works best for you — to the Market Director. Keep your lens focused and snap to it with us!
If you have a genuine passion for helping your community prosper, we need your touch. Our activity volunteers help provide events on market days to attract families. Activities at the market vary from week to week — whether needing help with a dog show or with assisting children with sidewalk chalk art!
Each week, we’ve got a different sort of fun planned for the market. These special positions and shifts will be detailed on the “Call for Volunteers” e-mail that you receive each week, and you can respond accordingly at that time. Anticipate the fun … then help make it happen! Shifts are specified on a week-to-week basis.
This could be your Saturday morning workout! We need help to take down tents, tent weights, tables, chairs, barricades, and help vendors in need pack up after the day's market.
